A continuous flashing red light with the word LAMP on it would definitely mean you’re going to need to spend a few bucks on a new lamp Nothing but black screen. A simple test for this is to unplug the vga or hdmi hpp from the monitor then turn it on if it has power it should say no signal. Also have same problem.
